Watch our video guide

Learn how to take accurate measurements yourself with our easy-to-follow video tutorial below.

Download a sizing app

Get sized up in the comfort of your own home, all without needing a measuring tape.

A suit you already own

Take the guesswork out of sizing by using a well-fitting suit you already have as a reference.

Sizer App

Download the Abody.ai app

Having measurements taken with a measuring tape is preferable. However, if you don't have a measuring tape or personal tailor at home, we recommend the Abody app with three main notes:

  • The app really does work. If you can wear underwear (at least topless) when taking the body scan. Clothes will increase your sizes.
  • Use the app as a guest (Try without an account).
  • To re-measure, you'll want to delete your account and start again (click the 'i' symbol, account information, delete account and data).

A Suit You Own

Start with a well-fitting suit or separates you already own.

Already own a suit or separates that fit well? Look at the labels! Rathbones Tailor uses UK sizing, which is typically displayed as:

  • Jackets: A number followed by a letter (e.g., 40R). The number indicates chest size in inches, while the letter represents jacket length (R = Regular, L = Long, etc.).
  • Trousers: Two numbers separated by a slash (e.g., 34/32). The first number is the waist size in inches, and the second is the inseam length (in inches). Important: Jeans and suit trousers use different sizing systems, so don't rely on your denim size for suit trousers.
